For some time our mascot representatively twitters for the Deutsches Currywurst Museum under the name “qwoo” about the world of the Currywurst, new activities of the museum, funny and exciting facts about the Currywurst and also gives a lot of tips all around this topic.

Discover Berlin and the museum with the Berlin CityTourCard 2011
From next year on the German Currywurst Museum will be not only partner of the Berlin WelcomeCard - also it is part of the Berlin CityTourCard. With presentation of the card we offer 25% off the regular admission price (11.00 EUR).
The Berlin CityTourCard is a combination of driving ticket for public transport in Berlin and a discount card, with which you get numerous discounts for attractions in Berlin.

Festival of Lights 2010 - Open Night
Also this year, the Deutsches Currywurst Museum takes part in the Festival of Lights at the Open Night.
On 16th October the museum will be open until midnight, from 7pm all night owls can experience the exhibition for a specail "night rate": to all entrance tickets, we provide a discount of 50% (excluded are Snacktickets).
During this night our younger visitors can participate in our museums rally and meet our mascot Qwoo. There will also be culinary surprises. Look forward to exceptional snack options in our museum snackbar!

Long night of museum
For the first time the Deutsches Currywurst Museum participated in the Long night of museum, a famous cultural event in Berlin, where over 90 museum open their doors for visitors the whole night. With one ticket guests can discover the different museum and locations and get an impression of the great range of museum.
The event was a big success for our museum – over 3000 guests visited the Deutsches Currywurst Museum. Especially for this evening we provide some extra highlights: individual tours, a quiz, the mascot “QWoo” and special Currywurst snacks, e.g. Currywurst with shrimps and sparkling wine. The team is looking forward to the next Long night of museum.

The Deutsches Currywurst Museum at the Velotaxi World Championship
On 21st August there will be a new extraodinary event in the city: with the Berliner Bank Velotaxi World Championship there is a special World Cup around the Olympic Stadium.
Velotaxi drivers from more than 40 countries will compete in different disciplines. The Deutsche Currywurst Museum will be part of the competiton with a velotaxi in a design of the museum.
The event will take place the day before the ISTAF 2010 and is part of the festival „Sports in the Olympic Stadium Berlin“. For more information please click www.veloform.com.

New York and Frankfurt – now also Barcelona: again an award for the Deutsches Currywurst Museum
After winning twice in May the Deutsches Currywurst Museum could win another award: in the ADC of Europe 2010 in Barcelona our exhibition got an award in the category: „Spatial Communication“.
This gives hope for another award because all awardees of the ADC will automatically be part of „The Cup".
„The Cup“ is an association of the four international creative competitions: ADC of Europe, Asian Pacific AdFest, Ibero American FIAP and Golden Drum.
Already in May the exhibition got honored with two eligible awards: The museum won the „Silver Pencil“ at the One Show Design Award in New York therewith it belongs to the five best projects of „Spatial creations“ worldwide. Almost at the same time the museum got an award of the ADC Awards in Frankfurt in the category „Spatial Communication“.

27th Long night of the Museum – We will be present!
All friends of the „Long night of the Museum“ can be curious to visit a new attraction on the 28th of August. The Deutsches Currywurst Museum will take part in this cultural event for the first time. With guided tours, quiz and Currywurst-Snacks for Happy-Hour prices will we suprise the visitors during this night. Be curious and discover exciting, worth knowing and mystic facts about the cult icon Currywurst!

Awards for the Deutsches Currywurst Museum – Experience Exhibition inspires jury in New York and Frankfurt
With the project of the Deutsches Currywurst Museum the responsibles E.I. Edutainment International GmbH and the design studio Atelier Markgraph impressed the jury of two adwards. At the One Show Design Award in New York the museum won the Silver Pencil therewith it belongs to the five best projects of „spatial creations“ worldwide. Almost at the same time the museum got an award of the ADC Awards in Frankfurt in the category „Spatial Communication“.

Finally you can eat Currywurst in the museum: Since 7th May all fans, visitors and hungry people can not only get a lot of information about the German cult icon, they can also try the culinary delight. With the classic Berlin Currywurst, variations with different kinds of sauces and more snacks and drinks our snackbar offers a diversified choice for every taste. International Day of Museums – Visit the Deutsches Currywurst Museum!
On 16th May there is the 33rd anniversary of the International Day of Museum. It is an annual event and initiated by the German Alliance of Museum, the German National Committee of international museum (ICOM) and regional departments and unions.
More than 1000 museum will be part of this action and attract with different offers and programms. In the Deutsches Currywurst Museum you will get the family ticket for a reduced price of 22,00 €.

QWoo as a special guest at the „23 Nisan International Festival for Children“
On 24th and 25th April our mascot QWoo is special guest at the International Festival for Children at the Brandenburger Tor. Besides a stage program, concerts, competitions, sport contests and a lot more attractions QWoo will celebrate with the kids. If you want to meet QWoo, you can find him Saturday morning during the scoccer match at the Soviet Memorial directly at the Brandenburger Tor. Enjoy the weekend!

Jon Flemming Olsen will read out of his book „Der Fritten-Humboldt"
Known as the snackbar owner of the TV series „Dittsche – The true real life“. Last summer he traveled through whole Germany to discover the real takeaway-life. In his book "Der Fritten-Humboldt" he describes a charming impression of takeaway restaurants, owners, guests and culinary, he wrote about divers stories between Bavaria and Schleswig-Holstein.
There is no better way to present this book than the Deutsches Currywurst Museum!
